ISAC 2020 IS POSTPONED TO NOV 3-NOV 6, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

The times of uncertainty and the difficulty of planning that the pandemic COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) is originating led the organising committee to take the thoughtful but difficult decision to postpone ISAC XXI 2020 to November 3-6, 2020.
New deadlines for abstract submission and registration, as well as speakers and program confirmation, will be released soon. We will be in touch directly with those that have already submitted their abstracts.
We thank you and the entire ISAC community for understanding the extreme difficulty of this decision and we hope you can readjust your agenda to the new date.
Hoping to welcome you to Lisbon in a charming and pleasant fall.

It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to join the 21th ISAC Meeting that will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 29th of June to 2nd of July of 2020.

This will be the 21th ISAC Meeting, the 2nd that will be in Portugal, 25 years after the Meeting organized by Professor Alexandre Ribeiro at Instituto Gulbenkian in Oeiras. Since ISAC was first established almost 70 years ago, there have been many advances in the field of arterial O2, CO2 and pH sensing, but also in the non-canonical roles of the carotid body as its role as metabolic sensor. Therefore, the 21th ISAC Meeting promises to offer exciting insights into the most recent research findings in all aspects of arterial chemoreception as well as in its relation with pathology.
